Sooooo tired

Specific exercise for Juneathon Day 20 was  20 toe touches, 20 sit and reaches, 20 sit ups/tummy crunches!

In the role of auntie/mummy I want over to my sister’s for a celebratory mass marking my niece’s first holy communion which started at 10am – so a lovely early start for a Saturday morning.
Then to my niece’s school, where they had a party – I stared longingly at the cupcakes (stupid IBS – with it’s wheat/dairy intolerances).
Then back to my sister’s – where I helped her for a bit, kneaded some modelling chocolate icing.
After which I drove home – ate some lunch – gathered some bits as the Pink One had a party to attend, and they were currently round nanny and granddad D’s with their daddy.  So I headed to nanny and granddad D’s house.
From there, we went to the kid’s auntie’s house, where, with the help of nanny and granddad D, released some fish into the pond.
This point I took the Pink One, and we stopped off on the high street – went to the Card Factory (no prizes for guessing why!) and then a quick visit to the dance shop where I got the Pink One her very first leotard for gymnastics – she was thrilled!
Back into the car and drive to the party the Pink One was attending at a local soft play.  When that finished, I decided to drive over to my mum and dad’s, nanny and granddad P’s so we could drop off his Father’s Day Card.  The Pink One thought this was great, and modelled her new leotards for them.
Then a drive back to nanny and granddad D’s to collect the Hubby and the Blue One, and have some dinner.  Finally home where the Blue One sat in his new big boy car seat for the ride home for the first time!!!

I am completely exhausted, so now it’s time to take my tired body to bed!!!

Could just about see straight to write this…
Good night all!!!

I’ll keep this brief…

Woohoo!!! Remembered to do my toe touches, sit and reaches, sit ups/tummy crunches, of which there were 19 of each, this morning – as opposed to going ‘Oh pants’ and having to do them in the evening!!!

The Blue One had his jabs this morning, which I hate (the hubby has to come too, I can’t cope with them alone), but the Blue One was very brave, and you cannot underestimate the medicinal qualities of chocolate buttons – they calmed the Blue One down before we left the doctor’s surgery where we then treated him to a trip to the Smyth’s Toy Store to pick a toy for his bravery (which is the same thing we did with the Pink One when she had hers about 2 years ago!) – so there was quite a bit of walking around for that, which shows in todays step count!!!

When we got home after all that I felt absolutely exhausted – completely drained, think I’d been so anxious about the whole thing that my system just ground to a halt once they were done, I actually fell asleep on the sofa for about half an hour this afternoon, which is unlike me!

Therefore I didn’t do any major exercise – went for walk round to the Coop and back!

Today involved a trolley dash…

So today was a pretty reasonable day for Juneathon Day 18 – I remember this morning to do my 18 toe touches, sit and reaches, and sit ups/tummy crunches – so much easier earlier in the day, though saying that I can definitely feel them more with the increased number! Will I make it to 30 of each!?!

I also actually donned my running gear and went for a brisk short run – only 1.61km – but my pace was 6:30min/km – which after a week and bit off running due to my dodgy foot, I didn’t think was too bad! Plus I couldn’t go out for too long as today was an OU study day! My Garmin wasn’t playing ball, wouldn’t find my location – so very grateful for MapMyRun! I felt pretty good after – I think I might plan a short run each week and see if I can increase my pace… I will keep you posted!

Additional exercise came in the form of the weekly Big Shop – usually I do this on a Friday morning but my poor Blue One has got his jabs tomorrow – I hate when my little ones have to have jabs, stab me with a needle – that’s fine, but leave my little ones alone, I deal with it so badly my hubby as to come too – which is ironic as he hate’s needles and injections himself! Will then treat the Blue One to a new toy… sorry I digressed!

Proper run - with my running gear on and everything!!!

The Big Shop was more fun this week as I had company in the form of Helen! Yay! So here you can see the photographic (and video) evidence of our exercise…

I am demonstrating the potato reach and Helen is beautifully demonstrating the trolley lunge

Check out the Trolley Dash!!!

Must organise myself and get this all logged on Running Free Online… I did exactly what I promised myself I wouldn’t do and have let it build up! Urgh!!! Oh well at least the important bit – the actual exercise – is done!

Deja vu with a Pink hue!

Today was similar to yesterday, except the trip to the park was with the Pink One this time as the Blue One was at the child-minders, as today was an OU study day for me…

  • Walk to and from school in the morning for the Pink One
  • Two lots of laundry hung out (which did involve climbing up and down stairs! – yes, another two loads today!)
  • Walked to collect Pink One from school and then on to the park
Climbing Pink One
  • Played bat and ball with the Pink One
  • Stood and walked around the playground as the Pink One played

  • 17 toe touches, 17 sit and reaches, 17 sit ups/tummy crunches! (Again in the evening, will I never learn?)

Check out my step count for the day – not as great as yesterday, but considering I studied for the morning and part of the afternoon it’s pretty good – and there were times when I didn’t carry my phone on me, so there were more steps!!!

What a difference a day makes

Today I did a lot, so this is great for Juneathon Day 16! Somewhat of an improvement from yesterday!!!

  • Walk to and from school in the morning for the Pink One
  • Two lots of laundry hung out (which did involve climbing up and down stairs!)
  • A walk to the park with the Blue One
  • Played bat and ball with the Blue One
  • Kicked a football with the Blue One

  • Stood and walked around the playground as the Blue One played
  • Walked home from the park with the Blue One
  • Walked to collect Pink One from school and home again
  • Played a bit in the garden with the kiddies
  • A short brisk walk with Helen! Then a quick jog home! Thankfully my foot seems a lot better! Yay!
A walk and a jog
A walk and a jog
  • 16 toe touches, 16 sit and reaches, 16 sit ups/tummy tucks! (Why do I always end up doing these in the evening!?!

Check out my step count for the day – and there are times when I didn’t carry my phone on me, so there were more steps!!!

Oooo, lots of steps!!!
Oooo, lots of steps!!!

I’m exhausted, my feet are sore, my legs ache and now I have to study and funnily enough all I really want to do is go to sleep – can’t imagine why!?!

Hmmm, not much to say…

Feeling somewhat of a slacker today on Juneathon day 15, there was no specific exercise as such, me just making my usual days activities out to be considered as exercise… I did the usual walk to and from school to drop off and collect my Pink One!

My step count was pretty reasonable today too!

I did manage 15 toe touches, 15 sit and reaches and 15 sit ups/tummy tucks – which my Blue One also tried to do (he only did one!)- he looks much cuter doing them than I do!!!

Sadly, did not involve The City Mile

Initially I was excited for Juneathon Day 14 as we were signed up to do The City Mile – we were going to run in the Family Wave – but due to my injured foot we decided it would be a sensible decision not to go!

This was such a hard decision to make – I was excited for my Pink One and Blue One to get their first medals – fortunately we’d not told them we were going so I wasn’t letting them down too much! I feel so sad, so not feeling it for today, so my exercise has been somewhat halfhearted! 😩

I did an hour of house work – including vacuuming and putting away a load of laundry, which mean a few trips up and down the stairs.

I also did 14 toe touches, sit and reaches and sit ups/tummy crunches (ouch – I must be doing something right!!!)

Today involved a school fete

So my contribution for Juneathon Day 13 was walking around my daughter’s school fete for four hours (plus the walk there and home) – and with how tender my foot still feels this was quite a good effort I feel! Especially as my hubby, in-laws and I were being dragging around by a very excited 5 year old and 3 year old! You cannot say that this wasn’t exercise!!!

Check out the step count for today!!!

Plus there was my toes touches, sit and reaches and sit ups/tummy crunches of which there was 13 each! (Why did I think this was a good idea!?! :-P)

An afternoon at the park

Still not entirely sure what I have done to my foot and it’s very sore – so not an awful lot of activity for Juneathon Day 12.

As the Blue One was a bit better today, his temperature had come down a bit, we met with some friends in the park as it was such a beautifully warm day.

I managed to do a little bit of football with him – mainly him running around and me just kicking the ball back to him! It was nice seeing him being more his usual active and happy self.

Not a bad step count either considering how much I’m hobbling!!! Does include the drop off and pick up of the Pink One from school!

I also managed 12 toe touches, 12 sit and reaches and 12 sit ups/tummy crunches (these seemed such a great idea each day when the numbers were smaller!!!)

So today there was walking

So for Juneathon Day 11 I had planned on going for a run, but as you’ve probably gathered from my previous posts I’m notorious for changing my mind!

Today was an OU study day for me, so when I got a specific task completed I celebrated by going for a walk instead of a run. I wasn’t feeling particularly great – tummy still not happy, think it’s all the worrying about the Blue One, who’s temperature is still high! Plus, it was so warm really didn’t think a run was a great idea, so a walk in the beautiful sunshine it was! 3.68km to be precise!

To the post office… bugger, it was closed …and home again!

I had a target as needed to collect something from the post office, which is a reminder for me of how my running journey started, but in typical ‘me’ style I got there at 3pm and the post office had closed at 2.30pm!!! Doh!!! Never mind – least I got out and it counts for Juneathon – yay!!!

I also then had the walk to collect my Pink One up from school after her gymnastics class. For some unknown reason my right foot/ankle started hurting on my walk there and is still hurting now…!?!  I did nothing specific to set it off, so it’s rather strange! Hoping it’ll ease off by tomorrow!

Collecting the Pink One!

Did do a good number of steps today too – and I didn’t have my phone on me at all times – so would’ve been more! 😜

Oooo, lots of steps!

Finally I did 11 toe touches, 11 sit and reaches and 11 sit ups/tummy crunches (these are definitely getting harder now!)

Oh and my hubby bought me some flowers to cheer me up – I am very lucky!

Pretty flowers!
