Oodles of Oomi Noodles!

Recently I have been really trying to increase the amount of protein in my diet, reading up on protein powders (I’ll admit I find it all rather confusing) and protein bars as I really want to gain muscle and definition with my workouts, so when Oomi offered me the chance to try their protein-packed noodles I jumped at the chance, especially as they are also gluten free! I’d much rather obtain my protein through my meals than using protein powder – but this is just a personal preference and doesn’t mean I won’t use protein powder in the future – but I digress.

I have to say I was a little apprehensive though when I realised the source of the protein is from white fish.  I don’t know why, as I really like white fish – I suppose it just seemed unusual to me, the idea of noodles made with fish protein, I don’t know if I expected them to feel squishy like fish or to smell like fish!?

The Blue One has been attending sessions since he was only 2 years old and 3 years on, the passion for football is continuously growing.  So I’ve managed to grab a fifteen-minute chat with his football coach, Alex Warner – of AW Football Coaching.  It literally is fifteen minutes (ok, ok, it’s closer to 17.5 minutes , but I’m sure you’ll forgive us the additional 2.5 minutes ;-P), with coaching upwards of 250 children a week, Coach Alex (as the kids and the parents know him) is an exceptionally busy man…

Future Fit Training Nutrition Event with Action PR

Ok, this actually started as an Instagram post (for the photo I’ve used as my feature image), but I realised I was prattling on for too long for a caption and thought it best to share my thoughts in a short(ish) blog post…

Last night I attended a brilliant event hosted by Action PR, with the lovely Helen – presented by the lovely Performance Nutritionist Tilly Spurr for Future Fit Training, which gave myself and a few others the overview of the importance of Childhood Nutrition.
