It’s been a lovely but busy day! Saw the Minion movie with the family and it was fab. BAAAANNNNAAANNNAAA!!! 🍌🍌🍌🍌🍌🍌🍌🍌🍌🍌🍌🍌🍌
Then visited a few shops afterwards so walking was involved – so that counts for Juneathon Day 27!
Did some OU study when I got home and then my sister and her family came over for the late afternoon/evening! The kids had loads of fun playing with their cousins but have only just now (10:50pm) fallen asleep!
I’m off to bed now too – so walking and a token star jump for today it is then!!! 😊xxx
Woohoo!!! Remembered to do my toe touches, sit and reaches, sit ups/tummy crunches, of which there were 19 of each, this morning – as opposed to going ‘Oh pants’ and having to do them in the evening!!!
The Blue One had his jabs this morning, which I hate (the hubby has to come too, I can’t cope with them alone), but the Blue One was very brave, and you cannot underestimate the medicinal qualities of chocolate buttons – they calmed the Blue One down before we left the doctor’s surgery where we then treated him to a trip to the Smyth’s Toy Store to pick a toy for his bravery (which is the same thing we did with the Pink One when she had hers about 2 years ago!) – so there was quite a bit of walking around for that, which shows in todays step count!!!
Step count
When we got home after all that I felt absolutely exhausted – completely drained, think I’d been so anxious about the whole thing that my system just ground to a halt once they were done, I actually fell asleep on the sofa for about half an hour this afternoon, which is unlike me!
Therefore I didn’t do any major exercise – went for walk round to the Coop and back!
Feeling somewhat of a slacker today on Juneathon day 15, there was no specific exercise as such, me just making my usual days activities out to be considered as exercise… I did the usual walk to and from school to drop off and collect my Pink One!
My step count was pretty reasonable today too!
I did manage 15 toe touches, 15 sit and reaches and 15 sit ups/tummy tucks – which my Blue One also tried to do (he only did one!)- he looks much cuter doing them than I do!!!
So for Juneathon Day 11 I had planned on going for a run, but as you’ve probably gathered from my previous posts I’m notorious for changing my mind!
Today was an OU study day for me, so when I got a specific task completed I celebrated by going for a walk instead of a run. I wasn’t feeling particularly great – tummy still not happy, think it’s all the worrying about the Blue One, who’s temperature is still high! Plus, it was so warm really didn’t think a run was a great idea, so a walk in the beautiful sunshine it was! 3.68km to be precise!
To the post office… bugger, it was closed …and home again!
I had a target as needed to collect something from the post office, which is a reminder for me of how my running journey started, but in typical ‘me’ style I got there at 3pm and the post office had closed at 2.30pm!!! Doh!!! Never mind – least I got out and it counts for Juneathon – yay!!!
I also then had the walk to collect my Pink One up from school after her gymnastics class. For some unknown reason my right foot/ankle started hurting on my walk there and is still hurting now…!?! I did nothing specific to set it off, so it’s rather strange! Hoping it’ll ease off by tomorrow!
Collecting the Pink One!
Did do a good number of steps today too – and I didn’t have my phone on me at all times – so would’ve been more! 😜
Oooo, lots of steps!
Finally I did 11 toe touches, 11 sit and reaches and 11 sit ups/tummy crunches (these are definitely getting harder now!)
Oh and my hubby bought me some flowers to cheer me up – I am very lucky!
A very short post tonight about my ‘exercise’ for Juneathon Day 7, need to crack on with some more OU studies, so today I did some short walks to take my daughter to a birthday party and back. All in all, covering almost 4.5km, but adding all the time up, it over an hour – it’s quite funny comparing the speed of my walk back to collect her (average pace of 9:21mins/km) to length of time it took to walk back home again with the small Pink One in tow (average pace of 17.30mins/km) – but walking is walking and it was a beautiful day and lovely to be going along chatting and holding hands with my Pink One! I probably don’t do it often enough!
It’s a beautiful day…There and Back Again!!!
In between walking to and fro for my daughter, I baked some Gluten and Dairy free banana loaves, which are now in the freezer, ready for my daughter’s school fete on Saturday! I did make three – but one of them was a complete disaster for no apparent reason so didn’t make the cut!!! This did involve a considerable amount of standing up and mixing – so must contribute to my exercise somehow!?!
Gluten and Dairy Free Banana Loaves
I also did seven toe touches, seven sit and reaches and seven sit ups/tummy crunches!
Hope everyone else had a good Juneathon Day 7 and a lovely weekend!
So today was quite a laid back day, but needed to do my bit for Juneathon. So this afternoon the Pink One and I walked to collect her brother from the child-minder’s and then a walk home – not saying it was quite a slow walk home, but my Garmin kept pausing!!!
It was a slow walk – the MapMyRun is the more accurate… poor Garmin!!!
The reason for the slow walk back to home is we did look at the stream, in the beautiful sunny weather with my small people
Looking cute!
Then the kids were lucky enough to see a neighbours campervan, and he was kind enough to let them sit in it – he made their day!
It’s a campervan – made their day!!!
There was the walks to and from school to do drop off and pick up and don’t forget the three toes touches!!! All in all, not a bad day!
It seems as Janathon is drawing to a close I have become a bit slack with what exercise I’m doing and today isn’t going to be any different!!! I’ve been on a couple of walks most at a relatively slow pace as I was walking with the Blue One – but there was one brisk one whilst pushing a pushchair with the Blue One in it!
I am hoping to go for a run with Deputy Helen tomorrow, but I have a sore throat and feel generally achy, but hoping this will improve after a good nights sleep!
