It’s my rush around day! There’s school/nursery drop off, nursery pick up, Blue One football, school pick up and swimming!
So this morning I snuck in 2 minutes of skipping!
Also it turns out I’ve also walked 6.32km!
I have two small people – running around after them must be exercise!?!
Today is my busy day with them – I drop them off at school and nursery, then it’s normally home to study – but today I had to include a quick trip to Morrisons to return the RugDoctor, then back home, did a bit of OU maths study. From there I had to go and collect the Blue One from Nursery, get him home, fed and changed (well he can do that bit himself and insists on doing it) and then back out for his football session.
Return home, then not long after we’re back out to get the Pink One from school – give both her and the Blue One a snack, then it’s out for swimming lessons. Once we’re back home – time to make dinner, then relax with the small people, read books and then take them up to bed… whew…
Whilst the kids’ pizzas were cooking I did manage to do 2 minutes of skipping, which along with the above, is my contribution for Janathon Day 11!
Excitingly today, I also used my new spiralizer, which I got for Christmas, for the first time today! It was so cool, easy to use (and clean) and I made zucchini (I know, I know, we call them courgettes, but zucchini sounds so much nicer) noodles, and I did them in a passata sauce with ham – it was yummy! I can’t believe I actually ate a whole courgette – I don’t even like courgettes, but like this you couldn’t tell that they were veg! Hopefully this could be the way forward…

So after getting in from church I did an hour of intense house work – where we’d used th RugDoctor on the carpet – I vacuumed it all, thoroughly! I also vacuumed the porch and the stairs! Cleaned some mirrors as well. Definitely broke a sweat!
We then took a trip to Bluewater – the Pink One and Blue One wanted to buy their own Buffs. But we got to Bluewater to find the Buff store was gone!!! Supposedly it was a pop-up shop for Christmas!? None of us were too happy, it was there only last Sunday – I’d hoped to buy a second one…
We’ll have to have a look online!
When we got home I helped the hubby move the furniture back into the front room, where we’d moved it to clean the carpet!
Finally I did a minute of skipping and some stretching!
So not an overly strenuous Day 10 – but activities were carried out! I really wanted to go for a run – but know my muscles need the recovery time too!

So today regarding my exercise for Janathon day 13 was a bit of déjà vu as it involved Skipping and doing some Wii Fit plus – the major difference was feeling the ache in my legs from yesterday’s skipping exertions! Ouch!!!
Seriously, how did I spend hours skipping as a little girl? It was tough doing 12 minutes this afternoon – I’m hoping my legs don’t feel too bad tomorrow as hoping to do a longer run in preparation for Sunday – but we’ll see how we go!
I really hope all this exercise is doing me good – haha!!!

Now truthfully, how many of you thought I’d slacked off for a day!?! Hmmmm… tsk tsk!!!
Well I was meant to be going for a run but this has been rescheduled for Wednesday so what did I actually do? I found my skipping rope. Now as a kid I’d spend loads of time just skipping, doing various ‘tricks’ and rhymes – but I can honestly say the 10 minutes I did of skipping today hurt! My heart beat was raised and I broke out in a sweat.
It was also humorous as I skipped inside due to the lovely seasonal weather of rain so I had to shorten the rope so it didn’t hit the ceiling and so this in turn meant I had to skip with my head tilted forward so I didn’t catch myself – which I can assure you stings as the ‘rope’ is made of plastic and if it whips you – you know about it!!!
I also spent some time on Wii Fit plus – ensuring I made 30mins worth of exercise!

Well all in all not a bad evening of exercise! Think the skipping will help for my prep for Sunday! I’m also trying to make sure I drink plenty of water and I’m cutting down on the amount of wheat and dairy I’m eating this week – well at least I’m trying too! 😜
