So for Juneathon Day 23 this evening I went for a pleasant one mile run with Helen – but I was annoyed that I didn’t noticed until afterwards I’d entered a Walk rather than a Run into MapMyRun!!! Argh!!! Oh well, never mind!
Grumpy face as I put walk instead of run!!! 😛
Prior to my run IÂ did my 23 toe touches, 23 sit and reaches and 23 sit ups/tummy crunches (starting to really feel these in my tummy muscles now!) I also did an additional exercise which involved my kids sitting on my legs like I was a ‘throne’ and then me being an ejector seat – to much hysterical laughter! I only managed a couple of these, my feet started going numb!!! haha!!!
I don’t know why, but I am absolutely exhausted today – actually put a film on for the Blue One (Despicable Me 2 if you’re interested) after school drop off of the Pink One, while I had a lay down on the sofa! The Blue One got me his dinosaur pillow pet to cuddle and sat with me bless him and I think I did doze for about 30 mins!
So today’s Juneathon contributions for Day 22 were quite lack lustre and not very enthusiastic! Sorry!
Bet you can’t guess what I did… ok bet you can.. I did 22 toe touches, 22 sit and reaches, 22 sit ups/tummy crunches! I also cleared out the shelf of my wardrobe, and with the amount of clothing I own, this definitely constitutes exercise!!!
Another busy day and still feeling exhausted from all the running around yesterday my Juneathon Day 21 contribution is 21 toe touches, 21 sit and reaches and 21 sit ups/tummy crunches! This was such a laugh when I started with one of each – now the laugh is on me!!! Haha!!! 😜
In other news that may amuse – my Pink One is doing very well at her gymnastics (and the teacher also said she was a nice little girl too!) – so my mum and dad treated her to a leotard and leggings and mummy and daddy got her a second leotard.
My little gymnast (and good girlie)!
So today when she put one on the Blue One had to join in didn’t he!?! Haha!!! I probably shouldn’t share, poor boy, but just couldn’t resist…
Ones to have printed out for his eighteenth!!! Mwah ha ha…My Pink One – Gymnast and the Blue One looking like a ballet dancer! Look at that face and those socks!!!Gymnastics poses!
And now back to Juneathon… My step count was pretty pants today as well! I will try and do better!
Specific exercise for Juneathon Day 20 was 20 toe touches, 20 sit and reaches, 20 sit ups/tummy crunches!
In the role of auntie/mummy I want over to my sister’s for a celebratory mass marking my niece’s first holy communion which started at 10am – so a lovely early start for a Saturday morning.
Then to my niece’s school, where they had a party – I stared longingly at the cupcakes (stupid IBS – with it’s wheat/dairy intolerances).
Then back to my sister’s – where I helped her for a bit, kneaded some modelling chocolate icing.
After which I drove home – ate some lunch – gathered some bits as the Pink One had a party to attend, and they were currently round nanny and granddad D’s with their daddy. So I headed to nanny and granddad D’s house.
From there, we went to the kid’s auntie’s house, where, with the help of nanny and granddad D, released some fish into the pond.
This point I took the Pink One, and we stopped off on the high street – went to the Card Factory (no prizes for guessing why!) and then a quick visit to the dance shop where I got the Pink One her very first leotard for gymnastics – she was thrilled!
Back into the car and drive to the party the Pink One was attending at a local soft play. When that finished, I decided to drive over to my mum and dad’s, nanny and granddad P’s so we could drop off his Father’s Day Card. The Pink One thought this was great, and modelled her new leotards for them.
Then a drive back to nanny and granddad D’s to collect the Hubby and the Blue One, and have some dinner. Finally home where the Blue One sat in his new big boy car seat for the ride home for the first time!!!
Car seat king!
I am completely exhausted, so now it’s time to take my tired body to bed!!!
Could just about see straight to write this…
Good night all!!!
Woohoo!!! Remembered to do my toe touches, sit and reaches, sit ups/tummy crunches, of which there were 19 of each, this morning – as opposed to going ‘Oh pants’ and having to do them in the evening!!!
The Blue One had his jabs this morning, which I hate (the hubby has to come too, I can’t cope with them alone), but the Blue One was very brave, and you cannot underestimate the medicinal qualities of chocolate buttons – they calmed the Blue One down before we left the doctor’s surgery where we then treated him to a trip to the Smyth’s Toy Store to pick a toy for his bravery (which is the same thing we did with the Pink One when she had hers about 2 years ago!) – so there was quite a bit of walking around for that, which shows in todays step count!!!
Step count
When we got home after all that I felt absolutely exhausted – completely drained, think I’d been so anxious about the whole thing that my system just ground to a halt once they were done, I actually fell asleep on the sofa for about half an hour this afternoon, which is unlike me!
Therefore I didn’t do any major exercise – went for walk round to the Coop and back!
So today was a pretty reasonable day for Juneathon Day 18 – I remember this morning to do my 18 toe touches, sit and reaches, and sit ups/tummy crunches – so much easier earlier in the day, though saying that I can definitely feel them more with the increased number! Will I make it to 30 of each!?!
I also actually donned my running gear and went for a brisk short run – only 1.61km – but my pace was 6:30min/km – which after a week and bit off running due to my dodgy foot, I didn’t think was too bad! Plus I couldn’t go out for too long as today was an OU study day! My Garmin wasn’t playing ball, wouldn’t find my location – so very grateful for MapMyRun! I felt pretty good after – I think I might plan a short run each week and see if I can increase my pace… I will keep you posted!
Additional exercise came in the form of the weekly Big Shop – usually I do this on a Friday morning but my poor Blue One has got his jabs tomorrow – I hate when my little ones have to have jabs, stab me with a needle – that’s fine, but leave my little ones alone, I deal with it so badly my hubby as to come too – which is ironic as he hate’s needles and injections himself! Will then treat the Blue One to a new toy… sorry I digressed!
Proper run – with my running gear on and everything!!!
The Big Shop was more fun this week as I had company in the form of Helen! Yay! So here you can see the photographic (and video) evidence of our exercise…
I am demonstrating the potato reach and Helen is beautifully demonstrating the trolley lungeHere I am doing the heavy bag lift, turn and put in the boot
Check out the Trolley Dash!!!
Must organise myself and get this all logged on Running Free Online… I did exactly what I promised myself I wouldn’t do and have let it build up! Urgh!!! Oh well at least the important bit – the actual exercise – is done!
Today was similar to yesterday, except the trip to the park was with the Pink One this time as the Blue One was at the child-minders, as today was an OU study day for me…
Walk to and from school in the morning for the Pink One
Two lots of laundry hung out (which did involve climbing up and down stairs! – yes, another two loads today!)
Walked to collect Pink One from school and then on to the park
Climbing Pink One
Played bat and ball with the Pink One
Stood and walked around the playground as the Pink One played
Fun and giggles with my Pink One
Walked home from the park with the Blue One
Walk home with the Pink One and the Blue One
Walking home!
17 toe touches, 17 sit and reaches, 17 sit ups/tummy crunches! (Again in the evening, will I never learn?)
Check out my step count for the day – not as great as yesterday, but considering I studied for the morning and part of the afternoon it’s pretty good – and there were times when I didn’t carry my phone on me, so there were more steps!!!
Today I did a lot, so this is great for Juneathon Day 16! Somewhat of an improvement from yesterday!!!
Walk to and from school in the morning for the Pink One
Two lots of laundry hung out (which did involve climbing up and down stairs!)
A walk to the park with the Blue One

A short brisk walk with Helen! Then a quick jog home! Thankfully my foot seems a lot better! Yay!
A walk and a jog
16 toe touches, 16 sit and reaches, 16 sit ups/tummy tucks! (Why do I always end up doing these in the evening!?!
Check out my step count for the day – and there are times when I didn’t carry my phone on me, so there were more steps!!!
Oooo, lots of steps!!!
I’m exhausted, my feet are sore, my legs ache and now I have to study and funnily enough all I really want to do is go to sleep – can’t imagine why!?!
Feeling somewhat of a slacker today on Juneathon day 15, there was no specific exercise as such, me just making my usual days activities out to be considered as exercise… I did the usual walk to and from school to drop off and collect my Pink One!
My step count was pretty reasonable today too!
I did manage 15 toe touches, 15 sit and reaches and 15 sit ups/tummy tucks – which my Blue One also tried to do (he only did one!)- he looks much cuter doing them than I do!!!
