Today was Parkrun – my lovely friend Kay was doing her first ever Parkrun so I was very happy to be going along to support her!

It was a beautiful day and I was quite delighted that it was considerably warmer than last Saturday – the only downside to this was that the mud was decidedly squelchy again and this makes me very careful as it can be so slippery!

See - it was muddy!

I felt pretty good this week and Kay did amazingly well and stuck with me for the most part! My time today was 00:32:55 – slowly going in the right direction – my dream for 2016 is to do 5km in 30 minutes, but we’ll see! I was very happy to see that my splits were pretty even and if I can gradually keep shaving off a few seconds each time I know I can get there!
ParkrunBecause we good girls and walked to and from Parkrun – I’d already taken over 10,000 steps by the time I got home at around 10am and covered over 8km! Good start to the weekend!

After a spot of lunch I went and did the big Morrisons show – which is definitely a work out and whilst in store racked up another 2,000+ steps and 1km in distance – not mention all the lifting and carrying!

This afternoon (and evening) has been all about the OU study – but I initially struggled as I felt so sleepy after the mornings exertions!

It’s all good for us, right!?! 🙂 xxx

It was a run!!!

So for Juneathon Day 23 this evening I went for a pleasant one mile run with Helen – but I was annoyed that I didn’t noticed until afterwards I’d entered  a Walk rather than a Run into MapMyRun!!! Argh!!! Oh well, never mind!

Grumpy face as I put walk instead of run!!! :-P

Prior to my run I did my 23 toe touches, 23 sit and reaches and 23 sit ups/tummy crunches (starting to really feel these in my tummy muscles now!) I also did an additional exercise which involved my kids sitting on my legs like I was a ‘throne’ and then me being an ejector seat – to much hysterical laughter! I only managed a couple of these, my feet started going numb!!! haha!!!

Anything can be exercise… It can…!!!

Going out this evening so today I’m making all my everyday activities into exercise so we’ve had the walk to school including the book bag dash! This being, we’d been walking for 2 minutes when I asked the Pink One “Where’s your book bag?” and was met with “Oh no, I forgot it!” in a dramatic voice for good measure – fortunately one of the other school mummy’s was walking passed and watched them when I legged it back home in double quick time to collect the book bag!

Next was the Big Shop – which was obviously double exercise as I had the Blue One in tow! This included some weight lifting in the shape of lifting my son into and out of the trolley numerous times and then carrying a bag that had 3x2litre bottles of milk, 2x875ml Persil small and mighty bottles and 1X1.9litre bottle of fabric conditioner!!! Definitely heavy!!! Hardcore shopping!!! Haha!!!

Then there was the walk to collect the Pink One from school, which was a longer walk then usual as I took a slightly different route as I walked with friends whose kids are at a different school!

See – I can make exercise out of anything!!! 😉 Happy Janathon Day 23 everyone!!!
